This solution is written in anticipation of a product update which will be formally announced WHEN AVAILABLE (expected around July/August 2019)

Clear-Com has in designed new rack ears for HMS-4X, HRM-4X and the I-Station that are expected to be available in the summer of 2019.

The new rack ear is based on the design of the rack ear for the LQ-R and FSII-BASE-II, is made from power coated cold rolled steel and features small handles to ease pulling the devices out of racks.

The new rack ears are expected to be shipping on all new products shipped in the summer 2019 and onwards.

Existing HMS-4X, HRM-4X and the I-Station can be updated to the new rack ear.

Due to difference in thickness, both rack ears must be changed when converting from the older rack ear to the new.

The rack ears are sold in pairs and are available from the 2019 Spare Parts Pricelist and can be ordered using the following part numbers;

For reference the screw sizes are as follows:

HMS-4X uses M3.5 x 8mm screws - CC Part# 280543Z

HRM-4X uses 6-32 x 5/16 screws - CC Part# 621G120

ISTATION-SER-2RE           I-STATION  Replacement Updated Rack ears - Qty 2

For reference the screw sizes are as follows:

I-Station uses 6-32 x ¼ screws - CC Part# 280381Z

The only difference between the HelixNet and I-Station rack ears is the color of the rack ear.
