HelixNet: Does the HXII-BP support Ethernet PoE connections?

The HXII-BP supports CAT-5/6 ethernet PoE connections.  The HXII-BP only uses 4W per beltpack so the user can exceed the 20 beltpack maximum limitation currently in place for power-line connections.
The number of beltpacks that can be connected via ethernet PoE is limited to the power supply capacity of the ethernet PoE switch.
IP connection functions exactly like HRM Remote Station and HKB Speaker Station via static IP or DHCP addressing schemes.
- Isthere any data limit that we need to be aware of that would reduce the numberof HXII-BP / desktops / HRM-4X remote stations that could be connected via Ethernet?- Howabout CAT-5 / 6 cabling limits?   Anything that we should be awareof?Ans:  60 units is about thelimit for the Ethernet bandwidth available on the Mainstation (100Mbps). Butthat number also includes the units on the Powerlines (Beltpacks, Remote andSpeaker Stations, 2wire and 4wire modules).Clear-Com recommends you allow a safety margin and limit the total number to 40 units per mainstation (mix of Ethernet and powerline units)
Any unit connected via Ethernet is subject to the normal 100m rule from device to local Ethernet switch
Note: When selecting an IEEE 802.3af or IEEE 802.3at PoE switch, pay particular attention to the switch’s
Power Budget and how many ports of the switch actually pass PoE power. Each HXII-BP requires only 4 watts
of PoE power. Be sure to confirm the switch has enough power to drive all the beltpacks you intend to be driven
PoE; additionally, be sure to confirm the switch you choose powers the correct number of RJ-45 PoE ports you
need. It is not uncommon for multi-port PoE switch have only have subset of PoE ports.
