Helixnet: How does the HelixNet basestation manage the system audio resources
Question: From my little understanding, it does seem that the main station does manage digital/audio resources between all the belt packs in a system to achieve stable and proper audio communication.
Does the Eclipse matrix do a similar management when it has more than one intercom panel?
I have also noticed in a parallel/Star topology , with cables lengths being equal, that at 10 belt packs per power line, each pack displays a different transmission rate. Is there a reason for this?
Answer: Yes the HelixNet main station and the Eclipse Matrix both manage the audio resources to each beltpack or intercom panel (Eclipse to Eclipse/ HelixNet to HelixNet).
HelixNet BPs each measure their own TX /RX data rates , the TX/RX data rate can be affected by the number of talkers per channel, the overall length of the cable to the BP etc.. so BPs on what appears to be the same type of cabling can have different TX/RX data.
