HelixNet: What is a "Hostname"?

Question:  I keep seeing the term "Hostname" used in some of the HelixNet main station / beltpacks / speaker station / remote station local menus and in the CCM (Core Configuration Manager) web browser.  What is the term referring to?
Answer:  The hostname (the unique name given to any device on a network) of your beltpack can be seen in the Roles section of the menu.
To view the hostname for your beltpack:
1) In Menu mode press the left-hand Call Key and then select Roles.
2) The device’s hostname can be seen at the top of the list of available Roles.

From a main station menus select Station Settings / Preferences / Roles / device hostname is seen at the top of the list of available Roles.
Note: You cannot change the hostname from these local screens.
The hostname for HelixNet devices must be changed from the web based Core configuration Manager (the CCM). From the Overview page of the CCM, click on any device image to access configuration details for that device’s hostname.  See screenshot below to see hostnames of one HMS-4X main station and two HBP-2X beltpacks.

HMS-4X host name -- HMS-4X_1d4700
HBP-2X host name -- HBP-2X_104a00
HBP-2X host name -- HBP-2X_124a00
