Digital Partyline: HelixNet PL: Can I use more than one connection scheme when attaching HBP-2X beltpacks to a HMS-4X main station?

Several connection schemes are available when attaching HBP-2X beltpacks to the digital power lines on a HMS-4X main station.  Each power line is capable of supporting up to 10 beltpacks depending on the cable length and cable type deployed.  See the HelixNet User manual for more information regarding cable type / length.
Daisy-chain:  In a daisy-chain topology, the main station is connected to the first beltpack. The beltpacks are then connected in a series, using the pass-thru connector on the back / rear of the device to pass on the connection. No termination is required. Daisy-chains can be either linear or loop back to the main station to form a ring.
Star:  In a star topology, the main station is connected to a passive (Y) splitter such as an XLR Bulkhead or Multi-box or SP-3 splitter cable from Clear-Com. The beltpacks are then connected to the splitter point-to-point.
Tree:  A tree topology is a more complex version of the star topology, using serially connected passive ( Y ) splitters. The beltpacks are connected to each splitter point-to-point (forming a branch of the tree).
