HelixNet Flasher for Call Signal from a HelixNet Belt Pack (HBP)

HelixNet Flasher for Call Signal from a Belt Pack  If you need a Flasher light for your HelixNet system, there is no equivalent to the FL-1 or FL-7 flasher that we used in the legacy Analog Clear-Com 2-wire intercom systems and users should not connect analog flashers to HelixNet.  But there’s a clever way to flash in HelixNet to make Call Signal more attention-getting to the operator as the HelixNet HBP-2X and HXII-BP beltpacks have a function that converts the micro USB port on the beltpack from a service port to 5V DC GPO that can light and flash any standard USB light. Pick up the rubber flap on the bottom or side of the HelixNet Belt Pack to expose the micro USB jack.Insert the micro USB connector into that jack and insert the USB LED device of your choice into the USB slot. If needed, there are various types of OTG micro-USB adapters available. There are many options you can find, but here are some quick links.

For a USB female to USB Micro adapter on Amazon, click:https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Adapter-Samsung-Controller-Android/dp/B00N9S9Z0G/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1530107157&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=USB+female+to+USB+micro&psc=1

or for 90 degree ones, which I am coming to prefer:https://www.amazon.com/CableCreation-Female-Assorted-Direction-Straight/dp/B013G4DMCE/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1530107445&sr=8-20&keywords=USB+female+to+USB+micro

The previously recommended USB flasher is no longer available. However here are a number of possibilities to choose from by way of third party vendors. We are not able to test all of them. Specs to look for would be a USB connector, a mini would be preferred but the above mentioned adapters will allow for many choices. You also want to choose the type of LED light that is powered by way of a USB port not one that is charged by the USB port. Color and or brightness can be an optional adjustment when choosing a LED light. If the LED is too bright, you can put a colored balloon over the LEDs to dim the energy emitted.

You then use the software or front panel menu to select Solid or flashing for either key set, as you wish.  SEE ATTACHED
