Using the Keypad “Listen” key To activate the “monitor mode” of a Combo (Talk-with-Listen) key (in ECS set which keys have the TALK-with-LISTEN function) 1. Press the LISTEN key on the function keypad module for less than one second (“tap” the key).ONLY keys assigned as talk-with-listen glow dim green to indicate that its “monitor mode” is available for activation.
2. The LISTEN key on the function key module glows bright green while in this mode.Tap a dim-green intercom key to activate it. The key glows bright green to indicate its change to an active listen key.
3. To talk to the same source, press and hold the key.The key glows bright red to indicate that a talk-with-listen call is active. When you release the key, it reverts back to its active listen mode (bright green). The talk action of a talk-with-listen key cannot be latched; it is only active while you press the key
