There is no special process for upgrading a v-series expansion panel,
When the host panel is upgraded via ECS then any connected expansion panel will get upgraded automatically as well. There is no special application firmware in the expansion panels. The only code that the expansion panel require is the display module driver application.
The display module driver firmware is sent through ECS (firmware update > panels) and will update the display driver on the host panel and any connected expansion panels at the same time
