Matrix: How does the V-series panel headset PTT get configured in ECS
V series panels with XLR-4 and XLR-5 headsets use an external wiring modification to give them PTT action via the headset detect circuitry. Therefore the panel headset detect circuitry is used to active the PTT function as programmed in ECS. In ECS this equates to the "Headset PTT Function" setting which should be used to determine PTT action with these headsets.
V series panels with XLR-7 headsets and/ or by using 2nd headset function wired to the auxiliary audio rear connector have a separate PTT1 and PTT2 pins that connect via ECS software to logic 1 and logic 2 inputs.Therefore for XLR-7 panels the PTT function is programmed in ECS using the logic 1 and 2 settings.
