Matrix: How do I run Production Maestro in Admin mode
Production maestro can be run in an 'Admin' mode which can be used to tailor the UI for other users.
You can apply the following User Restrictions:- Remove configure palette and canvas- Restrict to items on Palette- Prevent level adjustment- Remove cursor meter
All of these restrictions are saved in the layout file (.ccr), so make sure you save your changes or they won't take effect!
This is great for restricting users to specific areas of a system when used in conjunction with pre-saved and selected layouts and palettes, or removing features that could be seen as dangerous in certain applications (level adjustment).
To enter Production Maestro in Admin mode, you need to start the program using the modifier- /adminThe simplest way to do this is to:- Create a shortcut to the Production Maestro exe- Right Click on the shortcut, and select 'Properties'- Enter the 'Shortcut' tab in the popup window- Add a space, followed by /admin at the very end of the Target line (please see screenshot below)
