How do I put the system in a mode where I can remote control another panel? Can this be done from a panel
We have a mode called Supervisor mode : which is where one panel takes remotecontrol of another panel (Similar concept to when your IT dept takes remote control of your PC )
in ECS - go to hardware > cards & ports
select / highlight the ROW (port) of the panel that wants to be the Supervisor panel or master (this isthe panel which will take control of the other panels)
in the right hand side of the screen where you have all the optional tick boxes
scroll through the list until you find supervisor panel - set that option to betrue
Now go to the panel programming screen
go to the selected supervisor panel and at the bottom of the screen where you have theRED & Green columns - there is a tab called special keys, select that tab and drag and drop the SUPV key onto your panel
after a apply changes download
walk to to your supervisor panel - select the SUPV key - all "panel" keys will flash,
select the panel you want to control
The supervisor panel and the target panel display will go into reverse video mode,
now any key you press will be reflected on the target panel and visa-versa.This will allow you to make adjust volume pots, enter menu mode, assign local keys on the target panel etc..
to exit press and hold the menu button on the supervisor panel
Note: a) supervision of panels of another type may cause someinconsistencies b) V-series panels can only supervise other V-series panels they cannot supervise I-stations, ICS or 4000 panels
