Matrix: How do I use Headset PTT on V series panels?
Matrix: How do I use Headset PTT on V series panels?
If you have a 7-pin XLR headset connector on a V series panel, you can use pins 6 and 7 to connect push-to-talk (PTT) buttons (1 and 2). The buttons should be tied to ground (pin 3). If you want to use the Headset 2 PTT 1 and 2 buttons, you must use pins 4 and 17, tied to 0 V (pins 5 and 18).These PTT buttons trigger the same logic inputs as GPI 1 and 2 on the Control DSUB on the V panel. For example, all three functions (Headset 1, PTT 1 + Headset 2, PTT 1 + Opto-isolated input A1) are logically ORed. What these functions do in the matrix is configured in panel properties under Logic Input Options. They are Logic input 1 and Logic input 2 respectively.
