HXII-DPL Powerline Device - "Getting it Going"
Step 1. Get the Arcadia(/HMS-4X) upgraded
Step 2. Get the HelixNet User Stations upgraded to HelixNet version 4.5 (included with Arcadia 2.11 and higher)
With this upgrade the HelixNet user station gains the ability to have user definable network settings when connected with the HXII-DPL Powerline Device.
If the HelixNet User Stations were connected and paired to the Arcadia(/HMS-4X) at the time of the upgrade, they will automatically upgrade and be ready for use.
If the HelixNet User Station were not connected and paired to the Arcadia(/HMS-4X) at the time of the upgrade, you will need to pair them via network this one time to get them upgraded.
If you have HBP-2X which have never had network or pairing menus (versions 1-4.4) upgrade an HMS-4X to version 4.5 and the HBP-2X from the HMS-4X built-in powerline ports before using with the HXII-DPL. See below slide for a backup proceadure.
Step 3. Connect and power the HXII-DPL Powerline Device to your HelixNet network along with the Arcadia(/HMS-4X)
Step 4. Setup Network HelixNet User Stations and pair to Arcadia(/HMS-4X) via the HXII-DPL Powerline Device
HelixNet User Stations Network and Pairing settings are done the same way as if the HelixNet User Stations were Ethernet connected.
Limitations
The DPL Powerline can only handle so many endpoints before it will run into errors. Here is a general guideline on those limitations.
