Arcadia: Simple System setup with IPTs

Arcadia: Simple System setup with IPTs

Without a DHCP server, the Arcadia base and IPTs will default to link-local addresses compatible with the base and endpoints for an easy out-of-the-box initial network experience and to confirm staging confidence.

However, we recommend not operating with link-local addresses in permanent or long-term productions.

Clear-Com advises that for any installation, regardless of size, you have an IP network engineer available on-site from either your company or the Ethernet switch supplier. This engineer can review the network topology and network switch selection during the pre-sales phase and configure the switch during the installation period. Ensure your selected Ethernet switch meets the minimum requirements for AES67.

ŸClear-Com strongly recommends you place FSII IP antenna traffic (or any other AES67 traffic) onto their own set of separate network switches

Configure a DHCP server (or statically assign IP addresses).

  • Set the Arcadia management LAN and AES67 LAN to have static IP address. Do not use 169.254.xx.xx IP addresses

  • The IPTs will use static IP address or DHCP (two IP addresses needed per IPT or panel). Do not use 169.254.xx.xx IP address
