FS Edge Base / Arcadia : What are the reserved IP address ranges?

FS Edge Base / Arcadia : What are the reserved IP address ranges?

Do NOT set the FSE Base station host IP address , or any of the IPTs and other end points connected to the FSE Base unit to any of these reserved IP address ranges

  • The IP addresses cannot be in the reserved range: 10.0.0.0-10.0.0.7

  • The IP addresses cannot be in the LQ tunnel range 172.23.xxx.xxx

  • The IP addresses cannot be in the localhost range 127.xxx.xxx.xxx

  • The IP addresses cannot be in the multicast range 224 .xxx.xxx.xxx to 239 .xxx.xxx.xxx

  • The static IP addresses cannot be in link local range 169.254.xxx.xxx

Please note it is good practice to give HOST devices like Arcadia , FSII basestations, Matrices and IPA cards fixed static IP addresses and set the end points to DHCP mode , where a DHCP server will assign them the correct IP address

Do NOT set the static IP address of the HOST devices in any of the reserved IP ranges
