How to dry out an IFB signal into a line level 4wire audio signal

Instructions

I have a wet (powered) IFB signal. The IFB signal is coming from a Clear-Com 2W (PL) system

Normally we recommend using a EF-701M, https://www.clearcom.com/product/ef-701m/ it will take the 2W IFB isignal and convert it into a 4wire line level signal (effectively acting as 2w/4w convertor)

Alternatively you can use a TR-50.  https://www.clearcom.com/product/tr-50/

It takes the wet IFB signal via the XLR and the 1/8” Tip-Sleeve jack that normally the earpiece plugs into, will be used as the line-level dry signal.

  1.  The volume control on the TR-50 will actuate impedance matching for the input.
