How do I make an RJ45 to Male and female XLR cable adapter?

Instructions

Wiring an RJ45 adapter to 4wire XLR adapter

  1. Cut a CAT5 patch cord in half (this will make two adapter cables)
  2. Use the BLUE and Green pairs (Blue and Blue/White and the Green/Green/White wires)
  3. Connect them to the Male and Female XLR pins 2 and 3 as shown
  4. For an Eclipse MVX Matrix port, the Blue pair is output from the port and the Green pair is input to the port.
  5. For cables to LQs, Base Stations or Matrix Panels, it is the opposite, Blue pair is input and Green pair is output. (Arcadia works with either version, selectable in CCM)

**This "to matrix" perspective cable assembly is now available from Clear-Com P/N CAB-RJ45-PGM-SA
