How do I make an RJ45 to Male and female XLR cable adapter?
Instructions
Wiring an RJ45 adapter to 4wire XLR adapter
- Cut a CAT5 patch cord in half (this will make two adapter cables)
- Use the BLUE and Green pairs (Blue and Blue/White and the Green/Green/White wires)
- Connect them to the Male and Female XLR pins 2 and 3 as shown
- For an Eclipse MVX Matrix port, the Blue pair is output from the port and the Green pair is input to the port.
- For cables to LQs, Base Stations or Matrix Panels, it is the opposite, Blue pair is input and Green pair is output. (Arcadia works with either version, selectable in CCM)
**This "to matrix" perspective cable assembly is now available from Clear-Com P/N CAB-RJ45-PGM-SA
