Question: Can I use a standard CAT-5 patch cable to make a 4-wire connection from a Matrix or Eclipse digital intercom frame to a DX200 wireless base station?
Answer: Yes, a standard straight CAT-5 or CAT-6 patch cable can be used to make a 4-wire connection from a Matrix frame to the HME DX200 base station. Use the rear panel RJ45 connector for 600Ω balanced interface for connections with other cabled intercoms. Pin designations are as follows:
Note: There is no intelligent handshake back to the Matrix frame via pins 1, 2, 7 and 8 as these are no connection pins.
