Wireless: How do I wire up a UPX-10 IFB transmitter directly to an Eclipse MVX-A16 port?
Question: I have some older UPX-10 / RCV-2 VHF wireless IFB systems that I would like to interface into my existing Eclipse Pico frame. Can I wire it up directly to one of the frames MVX ports?
Answer: Yes this is possible, the UPX-10 IFB transmitter is capable of supporting either a balanced mic or line level audio feed. The UPX-10 internal jumpers need to be configured for a balanced input feed and set the external mic/line switch to the "Line" position. See below the internal jumper chart for the UPX-10 and the cabling information to construct a custom CAT-5 shielded cable to a 3-pin male XLR connector.
