Wireless: Does Tempest 900 use 2x TX transmission technology and dual antennas?

Question:  Does Tempest 900 use 2x TX transmission technology same as the Tempest 2400 system?Does Tempest 900 make use of dual antennas?
Answer:  Because of the differences in 900 MHz, it doesn’t employ 2x TX technology, so only one antenna is present on the Tempest 900 and on the Tempest 900 remote transceiver.  2x TX isn’t required because 900 MHz is inherently less subject to multipath interference and more capable of penetrating barriers.
All Tempest 2400 Base Stations are capable of using dual antennas. (Note: The 2‐channel Tempest 2400 system requires the use of a remote transceiver to achieve this). Dual antennas are a great way to deploy our 2x TX technology, which is a protocol of sending redundant data to create a more robust RF signal. While dual antennas are not required for 2x TX technology, their unique positions and orientations can help to provide more reliable communications. These technologies and methods for sending redundant data were created to help enhance the capabilities of 2.4 GHz transmission.
