Wireless: How much current is available on the 2-wire IC ports on the FSII baseII?

Question:  Can I power up external Clear-Com 2-wire PL devices like wired beltpacks / remote speaker stations directly from the Freespeak II base II?  If yes what is the current limitation of the base station?

Example : Approximately how many RS-701 beltpacks can I connect to a FSII base II

Answer:  Yes the FSII base2 is capable of providing power from the 2-wire ports A / B / C / D.  To activate this feature:
Via the CCM web browser go to the Home / Ports / 2-W Port A or B / Interface Settings and select "Power" and set the option to "Enabled".
Via the base station front panel and scroll to the following menus:

  • 2W Audio (A or B) or 2W Audio (C / D)

  • Interface

  • Power

  • set to "Enabled"

The FSII Base II unit provides up to 400 Milli-Amps per A/B, C/D,

FreeSpeak II base II power : Supply = 400 mA to Partyline shared between A/B and C/D.

Approximately 14 RS 701 beltpacks per pair of ports

Approximately 10 RS 702 beltpacks per pair of ports

Approximately 10 RS 703 beltpacks per pair of ports
