Wireless: Does split mode on a Tempest 2400 / 900 base station provide more than one shared slot?
The Tempest 900 / 2400 series base stations provide for 3 modes of use:
Normal Mode: 5 full duplex beltpack slots
Split Mode: 4 full duplex beltpacks slots / 1 shared beltpack slot which allows unlimited listens / only 1 talk at a time
Shared Mode: Unlimited # of beltpacks on base / only 5 beltpacks can talk at a time.
Split mode does not provide the user the option of selecting the # of full duplex slots vs. # of shared slots. The current 3.1.0 or lower firmware / radio module firmware does not support this functionality.
