Wireless: What is a "Link Local Address" on a Freespeak II base2?

Freespeak II base2 main stations can generate a Link Local IP address in the 169.254.xxx.xxx range when connected
to a PC directly or via a standard 10/100 switch when the base2 and the PC are both set into DHCP mode.
1.  When the FSII base2 is powered up in DHCP mode go into the front panel menus to get the IP address.
2.  PC connected to the FSII base2, PC in DHCP mode.
3.  Open a web browser on the PC, then type in the IP address of the FSII base2 main station / press enter to see login screen.
4.  Type in the default user name / password (admin / admin)
5.  The FSII base station CCM browser should now be visible and the user can program the base2 as needed.
Note:  If the user connects the FSII base2 to a router that is capable of assigning IP addresses then the router will assign a
proper IP address to the base station and the PC.
