Is there a way of getting the mDNS Hostnames for FSII-TCVR-IPs

The mDNS Hostname is similar to computer-name  (like “MY-clear-com-laptop”)

You will find the mDNS name of the FSII-TCVR-IP on the rear of the antenna

Additional information on registering your FSII-TCVR-IP to your matrix

See FSII-TCVR-IP quick start guide : FSII-TCVR-IP-QSG

With a DHCP Server

Connect FSII-TCVR-IPs and E-IPA card (LAN #3) to AES67 network switch with DHCP server enabled

  • We recommend that the E-IPA card LAN #3 port (Default port for AES67 connections) is given a static IP adddress

  • Using the Transceiver screen in EHX, add all the transceivers to the configuration via the "Detect IP TCVR" button

  • Once all IPTs have been ADDED do an Apply Changes

  • Register beltpacks to EHX as normally done

  • Do a full walk test

No DHCP Server

Connect 1x Antenna directly to you PC

As mentioned above, the transceiver will boot up in DHCP but switch to a link local address after a period of time

  1. On your PC change the ethernet port to a link local address, 169.254.xxx.xxx (or DHCP mode)

  2. Connect the IP Transceiver directly to your PC's ethernet port

  3. In Google Chrome install/open the mDNS Browser application (downloadable from the Google Chrome App Store). Or use a IP scanning tool that shows mDNS names (like Avanced IP scanner https://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/)

  4. In the list you should find the IP Transceiver and the IP Address it has picked

  5. In a new tab in Google Chrome, enter the IP Address listed in the mDNS Browser for the IP Transceiver

  6. This will open the Clear-Com CCM hosted on the transceiver

  • Once logged in change both Admin and AES IP Address to the static IP addresses

  • BE SURE TO LABEL THE TRANSCEIVER WITH THE IP ADDRESS!

7. Repeat steps 4-6 until all transceivers have been given an IP Address

8. Now plug in all transceivers to the AES67 switch

9. In EHX, make sure you've given a static IP to the AES67 and Admin ports within the IPA card

10. Using the Transceiver screen in EHX, add all the transceivers to the configuration via the "Detect IP TCVR" button

11. Once all IPTs have been ADDED do an Apply Changes

12. Register beltpacks to EHX as normally done

13. Do a full walk test
