What is the DSP usage with regards to Multicast Conference and Direct Route Conference option?
In the Gateway Editor a conference can be configured in two different ways, Multicast or Direct Route. When using the default ‘multicast’ conference, a DSP channel is required for the conference to function. The DSP module for the Gemini is an option which you may not have installed, to check browse to the Gemini status page, on this page it will report how many DSP channels it has installed. If it reports zero DSP then the conference configuration will not work as configured.
If you do find you have 0 DSP installed, then the Direct Route conference option should only be used for a single host system. For further information see FAQ ‘What is a Direct Route Conference’.
