How are the ST2110 audio streams defined on the E-IPA card

How are audio streams defined in EHX for the E-IPA card

  • Are the multicast addresses are freely configurable?

  • What about the others parameters of the streams?

  • Is it only with 1 audio channel streams, or 2 audio channel streams are also possible?

Answer: Using EHX v12.2

The specifications below may change in later versions of EHX , please refer to the release note , related to your EHX release

The IPA card uses the SAP protocol and also supports manual entry (import and export) of SDP files .

The multicast addresses are freely configurable

The card operates to SMPTE-2110 conformance level a & b

TX Streams can be from 1–4  channels per stream

RX Streams can be from 1-8 channels  per stream

The E-IPA card will support upto 64x streams per card this includes

  • 3rd party AEs67/ ST2110 stream (these can be purchased in blocks 8 )

  • internal AES67 streams used for Iris and IPT connections
