Matrix : Low-level interlock ports

Panel interlock keys are an easy way to make sure a user doesn’t talk to two endpoints at the same time - ensuring exclusive access to a radio, for instance. To set up interlock keys, simply add all the keys you want to act as radio buttons to the same color-coded interlock group:

Any key in the same interlock group on the same panel on the same page will be exclusive - all other keys in that interlock group will be disabled.

By design, this only operates on one page at a time. A key on page two can be used even if it’s in an interlock group which has an active key on page one. V-Series doesn’t have the “Keep Hidden Keys Active” option that I-Station does, so keys can be active on multiple pages.

If something like interlock groups are needed across pages on a panel, we can offer a Control Macro which expects:

  1. a Fixed Group called PanelLock (which should contain all panel ports which you want to have exclusive keys)

  2. a Fixed Group called PortLock (which should contain all ports which will be interlocked). These have to be ports but they can have Partyline Turnaround set.

  3. import the macro into your EHX map > logic maestro > import, and add just the the map to suit (create and name the fixed groups in your map)
