EHX - Enabling Panel Message Monitoring via Event Log
To Enable Panel Messaging and send the specific logs back to Clear-Com support, perform the following:
In EHX, identify the panel under test and note the port number.
Hardware > Cards and Ports > Card Slot > Panel
Port Number = Global Port Number - 1. In this case, the global port number is 6. 6 - 1 = 5
2. In EHX, enable Panel Message Monitoring
a. Diagnostics > Event Log > Play > Request Info
b. Select the custom message command for Panel Msg Monitoring
c. In the first field, Panel Directory Number, enter the Port Number noted in step 1 above.
In this case, Port 5.
d. Select Send. Verify the panel messaging has been enabled. The log entry should look similar to below:
3. On the Panel under Test, begin by power cycling the panel and letting it re-connect to the Matrix.
The log entries should look similar to below (and will have a trail of parameters to follow…)
4. Perform any tests that you may be looking for errors on. Clear-Com may provide specific steps for this.
PLEASE note what actions are being invoked on the panel and at what (log) time.
IE: 13:25:55 - pressed Menu Button to enter Menu
13:27:06 - pressed Menu Button to exit Menu
5. Once test is complete, simply export the log file.
a. From Event Log, select Export.
b. Save the file and send to Clear-Com Support contact via Email.
c. Additional logs may be requested, the best place to save these are in EHX > Help > Save Diagnostics
To Disable Panel Messaging
In EHX, disable Panel Message Monitoring
a. Diagnostics > Event Log > Play > Request Info
b. Select the custom message command for Panel Msg Monitoring
c. In the first field, Panel Directory Number, enter the Port Number noted in step 1 above.
In this case, Port 5.
d. In the third field, set the value to 0=Off
d. Select Send. Verify the panel messaging has been disabled. The log entry should look similar to below:
