V-Panel Upgrade - Using SolarWinds TFTP Server
On a Windows machine, create a directory at the root level of C drive called “release”
Place the following files in the directory
Located in Drivers > Panel_Software > V-Series > Main-Board…
Root File System - rootfs.cramfs
Panel Application - sbin.jffs2
Panel Kernel - vmImage
Panel UBOOT TFTP Image - u-boot.ldr
Setup a dedicated Ethernet port (or adapter) on the laptop
Assign a static IP of: 172.16.5.50
Assign a subnet mask of: 16-bit (255.255.0.0)
Download SolarWinds TFTP Client from SolarWinds

Install the SolarWinds TFTP Client
Setup the TFTP Server by going to File > Configure
General > Storage > Browse and select the file path to be C:\
Server Bindings > Server Bindings > Use Custom server binding
Add the IP of 172.16.5.50 and click the GREEN PLUS ICON
Select OK and verify Server is Started/Running
Upgrade the panel
Connect an ethernet cable from the Ethernet port on a V-Series Panel to the Ethernet port assigned to TFTP
On the panel
Press and hold MAIN + AUX and pin reset (keep holding MAIN + AUX)
When the 4 lights in the upper left start flashing, release MAIN + AUX
Press and Release H/S then press and release Shift
-TFTP will show the U-Boot code copy and complete
Once rebooted, Press and hold MAIN + AUX and pin reset (keep holding MAIN + AUX)
When the 4 lights in the upper left start flashing, release MAIN + AUX
Press and release Shift
-TFTP will show the Kernel, Root File System, and Application codes copy and complete
Once rebooted, connect back to EHX and run the display module upgrades centrally
