Partyline: what is the difference between the IC.xx-6P and the IC.xx-2P cable

IC-xx-2P has 2-pairs of wire which when used with RS-602/622 supply conductors for ground, 30V, ch 1, ch 2.  There are no connections for pins 5 & 6 on the connectors.
IC-xx-6P has 4-pairs of wire which when used with the PIC04704 will supply conductors Each pair has two conductors and a shield. All shields are common to pin1 ground; one wire from each pair is common to pin2, +30V; the other remaining wire is for each of the 4 signals and connected to pins 3, 4, 5, 6.
each cable is avialable in 25ft / 50ft / 100ft (7.6m/ 15.2m/ 30.4m) lengths
