Matrix: How can I read the port number and port name on a V-Series Panel?
To access the V-Panel's port name and port number locally at the panel the following must be setup in ECS software:
1. Go to Advanced Settings for the V-Panel port in question
2. Go to Soft Mode Options
3. Set a check mark for "Diagnostic Menu Access" so that this option is "True"
4. Perform an "Apply changes to Frame" download
Once this is set in ECS software go to the V-Panel and performing the following key presses to access the port name and port number:
1. Press the "Menu" button on the front panel of the V-Panel, it should light up a blue colored LED
2. Press the "Diagnostic" key or button
3. Press the "System Data" key or button
You should now be able to read the port number and port name of the panel. To exit the panel out of menu mode simply press the Menu button on the front panel near the XLR Jack.
