Matrix: Connecting 3rd Party Phi Audiocom 2W to 4W interface to Eclipse MVX-A16 MK1 & MK2
Question: Can I interface the Phi Audiocom device to an Eclipse Matrix MVX port?
Pleasefind attached more information on Phi Audiocom. It looks like they have a devicefor 2 wire to 4 wire conversion.
Answer:Old MVX-A16 (MK1 Green Circuit Board) 600 ohm input impedance, the current MVX-A16 (MK2 Blue Circuit Board) is >10K ohm inputimpedance.
The only problem is in the direction MVX (output) -> Phi Audiocom (input).Phi Audiocom has a max input of6Vp-p. The MVX max output is +18dBu or 17V p-pSo the Eclipse's port output gain willhave to be set to -10dB to avoid overloading the input on the Phi Audiocom.
