Matrix: Can I install a V-series panel into my mixing console and wire my console mic into the panel?

Yes,  The panel can be housed in the mixing console as per normal with a standard connection back to the matrixThe microphone from the console can be wired to rear connector on the panel
Keys on the panel are programmed as normal. See in more details in the attachment.
The V-series panel has a number external inputs that can be used. A) For mic level applications: use the rear headset 2 input connections - connect the microphone of the mixer console to the headset 2 connectors on the rear of the Vpanel. In the DSP mixer setting of the panel route the HS2 input to the matrix 1 output.  B) For Line level applications: Use the rear EXT-1 input connections - connect the line level mic of the mixer console to the EXT-1 connectors on the rear of the Vpanel. In the DSP mixer setting of the panel route the EXT1 input to the matrix 1 output.  Whenever a key is pressed the audio from the HS2 or EXT1 will be routed back to the matrix. The mixer console operator can select to use the main speaker on the panel or again wire it out to an external speaker
