Matrix: E-Dante card shows poor connection in Dante Controller software
Question: I successfully installed an E-Dante card in my Eclipse HX frame, it is recognized in the E-Dante Controller software, but I have a question on the Ethernet connection. In the Dante controller software in the network status screen the E-Dante card connection shows up as a red 100Mbps in the status column. Should I be concerned?
Answer: This indicates the Network speed of the Ethernet switch deployed is most likely 10/100 Mbps which can be
acceptable for systems where latency is not an issue.
In this case the user may want to change the latency status for the E-Dante card in order to change the Latency Status
from orange or red to green. This can be done from the Device view / Device Configuration tab for the E-Dante card to
a higher latency value until the Latency Status goes back to a green indication.
The other option to this issue is to trade out the 10 / 100 Mbps switch to a fast 1Gbps switch which should allow the user to
select a lower value for latency setting.
