Matrix: How to identify the difference between Mk 1 and Mk 2 E-QUE / IVC-32 / LMC-64 cards

Question: How to identify the difference between Mk 1 and Mk 2 E-QUE / IVC-32 / LMC-64 cards
Answer: Concurrent with the release of ECS 5.2.4 there is now a new version of the E-QUE / IVC-32 / LMC-64 card. The information below describes the differences between the two versions including different firmware downloads that support each card version.

They have different
-    FPGA codes
-    BOOT PROMs
-    eque_upgrade.ttl macros (the Tera Term macro for upgrading the E-QUE app code)
BUT!!! They have the same application code

PLEASE take care when upgrading to select the correct firmware, on the ECS DVD there are separate folders for the Mk1 FPGA and Mk2 FPGA.
If you download the wrong FPGA into the wrong card type then the card will stop working. To recover you have to download the correct FGPA version to get the card to start working again.
Also there are two version of the eque_upgrade.ttl (when upgrading the E-QUE app code via Tera Term and TFTP server)
Mk2= EQ2_eque_upgrade.ttl
Mk1= eque_upgrade.ttl
How can you tell a Mk1 vs. Mk2
Eque Mk1 PCB is green
Eque Mk2 PCB is blue
You can also identify MK 1 and MK 2 cards visually, from differences in the PCB layout.
The MK 1 E-QUE card features a large chip in the upper right hand corner of the PCB (as it is
installed in the matrix):

If you look at the upper right hand corner of the MK 2 E-QUE card, the large chip no longer forms part of the PCB:
