Matrix: What is the recommended order of upgrade for I-stations and expansion panels?
I-Stations & Expansion panel upgrade issues during ECS 5.1.1 upgrades It is recommended that if you are upgrading an I-series expansion E-Station then do so before upgrading its host I-Series station. Upgrading the I-Series station first can result in the E-Station being unusable after upgrade – if this is the case the expansion panel may be upgraded using a PC with Tera-Term software connected directly to the expansion panel and download using a s19 serial text file.
Please note that the E-Station upgrade is only required if it is subject to multiple key presses at the same time. There is a problem with the previous version 010112 when multiple keys (3+) are pressed simultaneously then the panel could reset.
