Partyline: How do I dry out the talent output of a PIC-4704

Question: My customer has a PIC 4704, and wants to send IFB signal to a sportscaster box instead of the TR-50. Does the IFB output of the PIC have 30V DC on it?If so, how can it be 'dried out'?
A long time ago, the folks at Comtek made a jumper cable to handle a clear-Com wet feed.
I'm not sure how they did it.

Solution: The voltage on the talent outputs of the PIC-4704 is about 15 volts when the interrupt is engaged.

One way to dry it out is to connect the headphone output of a TR-50 to the sportscaster box. This is the simple solution that just requires the right cable to connect them.

You can also put a 10 microfarad or less, 35 volt (just to be safe) non-polarized capacitor connected between pin 3 (the audio pin) on the PIC talent output and the sportscaster box's 'audio in' pin. For ground use pin 1 on the output. It's a little more work but it will get the job done.
