Matrix: Why did I lose my configuration map on my Matrix +3 frame?

Question:  I have a M+3 Micro Matrix 24 port frame that was installed at my TV station approximately 10 years ago, it has been running fine since installed, over the weekend the station lost power for an hour and when the power was restored the Micro-Matrix came back up with a different configuration consisting of 12 party-lines on all the panels.  All the previous configuration presets were erased.  What happened to my configurations?
Answer:  The configuration backup lithium battery on the config-1 card is probably no longer holding a DC battery charge to maintain the internal processor's RAM, this is where the the configuration maps are stored which allows the frame to "remember" it's programmed settings when the frame is powered cycled.  The user's configuration will need to be downloaded back to the frame in order to recover the current user settings and panel programming.
The lithium battery should be replaced as a maintenance measure every 5 years in order to avoid the situation described above.  The battery is a 3.6 Vdc button cell that is soldered onto the config-1pcb, to access the config-1 card on the MMX-24 frame the front panel of the frame has to be removed to access the card.
Note:  Anytime there is a need to access the internal config-1 or MTX port cards on the Micro Matrix series frames it is advised that the configuration(s) first be saved prior to powering down the frame and that the frame is powered down prior to accessing the cards for maintenance or repair.
The lithium cell is a Tadrian TL-5134, Clear-Com part # 400006.
