Matrix: Activating remote microphones on a V-series panel

You can use logic to activate a remote mic and therefore initiate a two-way conversation without the target panel user having to push a button. There are several similar ways of doing this but here are two: 

In both cases, the target panel must have Eavesdropping and Auto Listen enabled. These are found in panel properties of cards and ports. 

The microphone of the remote panel needs to be activated. This can be done using Logic Maestro. 

To activate panel mic with a control using logic, use the following:

To activate panel mic permanently using logic, use the following (the user(s) will not be able to turn off their mic - anyone with a listen key to the panel can hear everything the panel inputs to the matrix when this and Eavesdropping are enabled):

 



The example shows All Panels but this can also be done for specific panels depending on use.
