Matrix: How many ports does the Matrix +2 MTX-100 port card support?
Question: I purchased a used Matrix+2 MCF-10 frame with 10 MTX-100 cards. How many ports does each MTX-100 card support on this type of frame? Are these cards still supported by Clear-Com?
Answer:
The MTX-100 analog port card supports two ports on the MCF-10 Matrix +2 frame (panel or interface), so on a MCF-10 frame with 10 MTX-100 cards the total number of usable analog ports would be 20. The MCF-10 frame is capable of holding up to 13 MTX-100 cards so the maximum number of ports on this frame type would be 26 ports for use with Matrix +2 compatible panels or Matrix +2 compatible interface cards. The MCF-10 frame also can directly support up to 5 interface cards. The rear panel of the frame uses DB-15 connectors for each port connection.
Note: The MTX-100 cards are now obsolete and there is limited support or service
