Partyline: How do I connect (extended) a PL system over fibre

My customer would like to connect (extended) a PL system over fibre, They have researched and found these audio to fibre devices from a 3rd party company called voscom. http://www.voscom.com/optical-converter-1v1da1dd.asp

Answer: If you want to connect  2x Partyline systems over fibre then I recommend using the Clear-Com EF-701M product – see drawing# 2 below. Visit Clear-Com web site for details of the EF-701M
The EF-701M  unit is a 2/4 wire adapter. It also passes the PL call signal as a RS422 data packet. This allows the EF-701M to be connected to any 3rd party fibre equipment. Hence the customer can choose to use Opto-core X6R or V3R - FX- intercom units Clear-Com FIM-202 units (only available for US customers)or any 3rd party fibre optic unit like the voscoms
