Matrix: Whats new in EHX 8.5 / 8.5.1
EHX V8.5 / 8.5.1 introduce the following functions and features
1) V-Series panels can have multiple IP ‘channels’ routed to them – using the analog RJ45 and DB-25 on the rear,
or routed through the AUX, a second and third, completely independent feed can be sent to a panel.
2) iOS devices can be used to connect to the IVC-32 panel directly using the Agent IC app (assuming that the device
can ‘see’ the IVC-32 over the network. The demo we installed on your phone will show you how it works – it is configured
just like a V-Panel. Most corporate locations are using VPN software on their iPhones to deal with security, rather than
opening up the IVC-32 card to the outside world.
3) IVC-32 cards have redundancy – we can add an IVC-32 in redundant mode, and it will take over if any of the IVC-32 cards fail.
4) EHX is file based. You can save the HXN anywhere on your PC that suits your workflow – no import necessary.
5) Improved Event Log and system monitoring.
6) Support for Freespeak II 1.9G (Dect) and 2.4GHz Beltpacks and antennas .
7) IVC-32 card now has adjustable Jitter buffer settings: We have three modes of connection (this is best configured in EHX), so we can tailor the connection type based on bandwidth
availability and latency. Decreasing the jitter buffer (based on measurements of your network) will decrease latency.
8) The introduction of Virtual IFBs:
Users now configure a virtual IFB like they would a matrix party-line or group. Assign IFB label Guest-1 to a panel key and
then change the source or destination of the IFB without having to re-configure the key on the users panels. The IFB supports dynamic assignments of single or multiple sources, destinations and returns per IFB Variable IFB dim levels
