Partyline: Wiring up a PT-4 / PT-7 Microphone to a 4-pin XLR Female connector

Question:  I have a PT-7 microphone that the XLR connector was accidentally cut off, now I need to rewire it to a new 4-pin XLR connector, can you supply the correct wiring for the connector?

Answer:  The wiring for the PT-7 microphone is provided below, note that the connector also requires two resistors to be wired to the XLR connector:
(1) 220 ohm resistor between XLR pins 1 and 2
(1) 2.2k ohm resistor between XLR pins 3 and 4

Note:  This wiring scheme also applies to the discontinued PT-4 microphone.
