Matrix: How do I upgrade the firmware on a 4224E panel?
The 4224E panel doesn’t actually update during the ECS panel upgrade process until the panel ispowered down and re-powered. Here is the complete process: 1. After ECS software downloads the panel firmwareto the frame/panel via the firmware updater screen and shows complete in the dialog box close the firmwaredialog screen. 2. Power down the 4224 panel. 3. After a few seconds re-power the panel, the frontpanel screen will show the panel updating as shown below.
4. When the download reaches 100% the panel willreset and resume normal operation. 5. Press and hold the info button on the 4224 panelto read the newly updated firmware version.
Note: The current firmware version for the 4224E panel is PBH54M (ECS 4.2.16 and higher)
This process relates to upgrading 4224E panels on Eclipse matrix NOT Drake 4000 matrices
