What does the monitor button do in ECS V5.1
The monitor button in ECS V5.1 allows the operator to use the new "Identify panel" feature for Vseries panels
By selecting the monitor button on the top menu of ECS . The user can select a Vseries panel (from the setup matrix hardware screen or in the panel programming screen) and request the panel to identify it self,
The selected panel red LEDs will flash and the display will show ‘IDENTIFYME’ in the bottom left display
In the ECS panel programming screen.
Selecting the ‘Identify Panel’ button on the panel programming tool-bar will cause the panel currently being edited to flash its red LEDS and show ‘IDENTIFYME’ in the bottom left display. In order to use this facility monitoring must be enabled using the ‘Monitor’ button on the ECS tool-bar.
This facility is only available for V-Series panels; the ‘Identify Panel’ button will be greyed out for other panel types.
