Matrix: Can I use Production Maestro (Dynam-EC) to monitor input/output levels in real time?

Question:  I'd like to use Production Maestro Pro (ECS 5.2.2) to monitor several critical audio input and output levels on a IFB 4-wire port and on a shared party-line used by many panel users on my Eclipse system.  Will the audio levels be shown in real time in Production Maestro?  Do I need any specialized software or hardware to do this?

Answer:  Production Maestro V5.2 (Dynam-EC) includes a new facility to meter audio levels for conferences and 4-Wire ports in real-time. This facility normally requires at least one LMC-64 Audio Meter card to be fitted to the matrix.  This new facility is called Clear-Vu.  The metering can show separate input and output meters for monitoring 4-wire ports and monitoring of party-line input/outputs.

Metering comes in two different formats, Vu and Nordic 9.  See sample metering picture below: The LMC-64 card fits into the Eclipse Omega and Median frame. You need to purchase both Production Maestro and a LMC-64 card in order to display multiple meters. If only one meter is required then the sound card on the PC can be used to display one meter (and no LMC-64 card is therefore required, this is useful for customers who have an Eclipse-Pico matrix as it allows them to use both Production Maestro and the Clear-Vu feature).

Production Maestro has been re-branded as Dynam-EC

Sep 29, 2023 - LMC-64 is EOL (sept 2023) and can no longer be purchased. It is still supported in EHX V13.1
