Matrix: Auxiliary desktop microphone for V-series panels

Question: I need to set up a panel with a desktop microphone and wondering if you believe one of these Desktop microphones can be used.
I also want to wire the PTT of these microphones into the panel. As far as I can see, this should be OK, but I would appreciate your opinion on this.

Answer: Any of the microphones you have selected would work. However they are all dynamic microphones , so you need to change the “Gooseneck” mic setting on the panel to Dynamic and connect the desktop microphone to the main gooseneck mic connector on the front of the panel.

Make sure you set the panel  Gooseneck to “dynamic” mode and then download the map with the “clear frame data” check box ticked (make a black reset).

The V-Series panels gooseneck mic uses a 3-pin Din connector.

If you connect the external Desktop via HS2 input on the auxiliary audio connector on the back of the V panels (using pins 1,14,13) then you also need to set the xpt in the panel Mixer (DSP) screen to allow the mic2 to route to matrix1

The PTT of the external Desktop microphone can be wired to the logic #1 input on the rear GPIO connector of the V series panel.
