Matrix: How do I connect to a new Eclipse 5.2 frame for the first time?

Question:  I have just taken delivery of a new Eclipse Median frame with ECS firmware version 5.2 installed. I have installed ECS 5.2 on my PC and will use an Ethernet switch to make the connection between the PC and the frame.  How do I proceed to start programming the frame with a new configuration?
Answer:  Click on the ECS 5.2 icon on the Desktop after the Ethernet connections are made. Once ECS is started, perform the following functions:
1.)  If no configuration is present in ECS a dialog box asking for creating a new project will appear. Otherwise, from the File drop down menu select "New Project". Select a name for the new project in the dialog box and click on the SAVE button
2.)  ECS will now poll the Ethernet connection and search for any available Eclipse frames and will display them in a column labelled:  Discovered Matrix FramesNote: This will only work when both the PC and the Eclipse are on the same IP network (subnet-mask has to match as well). A freshly delivered Eclipse will assign look for a DHCP server to ask for an IP address. If no DHCP server can be found (the time-out is about a minute), the Eclipse will pick an IP address from the same IP network as a PC would under the same conditions. To find out the current IP address of your Eclipse matrix, press the ENG button on the active CPU card (usually the one fitted in slot P2) and watch the red LED cluster (the IP address will scroll through).

3.)  Click on the "Add Matrix Frame to Sysem" button, this will move the Matrix frame into the main ECS work screen
4.)  A new dialog box will appear titled: "Add Matrix frame to project", the user is now provided a list of three options to choose from:
A.  Empty Configuration
B.  Discover Hardware
C.  Upload Configuration from Matrix Frame
Select the one the best suits the user application and click on the "OK" button to continue.
5.) The ECS frame box in the Layout screen should be Yellow, indicating that a configuration has been built or uploaded from the frame. Select "Apply Changes to System" from the Systems Menu.
6.)  From the "Apply and Reset System" dialog box click on the Apply and Reset button to start the download and frame reset operation. When done the ECS frame box in the Layout screen will change from Yellow to Green indicating that a valid configuration is now present in the frame and can be accessed from ECS.
