Matrix: Do I need to install a ferrite core on the LAN 1 / LAN 2 ethernet CAT-5 cable?
If you are using an Eclipse frame in a EU country a ferrite core must be added to the socket end of each Ethernet LAN 1 or LAN 2 cable to comply with European EMC (Electro Magnetic Compliance) standards. A suitable ferrite core is Wurth Electronik part: 74271132. Shielded CAT5e cable is recommended for Electro Magnetic Compliance in EU countries. These ferrite snap on cores are provided with the frame shipment.
