Matrix: Can I install an ECS client on the same PC as the ECS server
If you want to run a client on a server machine, you have to run theself-executable client. Standard client installation is not supported on an ECS server.
Also the Client App has to log into the Server PC: - when you run the client app , login using the server IP address instead of "localhost"
Client Server LoginWhen running in a client/server environment the user should not log in using the default localhost server (http://localhost/EclipseServer/) but log in to the required server PC. To do this click on the ‘Options’ button to display the name of the ECS server and login using http://<Server machine IP address>/EclipseServer/.
Warning: Do not attempt to install the ECS client on the ECS server, it will erase the configuration database of your server.
EHX (Eclipse-HX) is not affected.
